Wally to play a showcase gig with Jerry Hannan @ The Mint in L.A.!
In July, Wally Ingram played two shows with Jerry Hannan/Chris Haugen supporting Gregg Allman at The Independent in San Francisco, California. The shows were GREAT they have decided to book another showcase gig @ The Mint in Los Angeles, California on September 10th! SoCal music fans, come out & show your support! Jerry Hannan is an amazing songwriter & performer & Wally is excited to collaborate with him.

Jerry Hannah Bio: A genuine songwriter and performer to boot. Recently, Hannan recorded his own song, 'Society' with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, which is featured in Sean Penn's film "Into the Wild". "I Thought I Was You", written by Jerry and brother Sean Hannan also plays in "Into the Wild." In 2003, Jerry recorded his second CD "Sounds Like a Story". A new song "DaDaDa" from the CD was featured in the film "The Pledge" (Jack Nicholson). He performed in Sam Shepard's play, "The Late Henry Moss," at San Francisco's Theatre on the Square (along with Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, Cheech Marin and Woody Harrelson). He also appeared as a raucous singer who offsets a romantic conversation between Harry Connick Jr and Sarah Jessica Parker. in Sony Picture's "Life Without Dick". Described as "shades of Dylan, John Prine and Van Morrison...very Americana with a faint Irish lilt", Hannan's songs (like those of Springsteen, Steve Earle and Cat Stevens) speak of our everyday lives and the magic that we sometimes miss. He's a storyteller who loves to stir the crowd. He has been called a "three chord wizard," with guitar, lyrics and harmonica, often funny, sardonic in a good-natured way, dealing with issues like ecology, friendship, love, and what he calls an backward society. Raised on jigs and ballads in San Francisco's Irish community, Jerry Hannan grew up listening to the music of his Irish-born parents (The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers), as well as Cat Stevens. As a youngster he took accordion lessons, switching to guitar in high school and playing in rock 'n roll bands. Hannan has just finished recording "Wild Card", an un-plugged solo record which will feature his latest gems including his own version of SOCIETY.

MLB.com: Crow rocks St. Louis for cancer awareness / Rocker, Costello kick off All-Star festivities for charity

ST. LOUIS -- On a midsummer night under a grand and glowing Arch, Sheryl Crow came out with Elvis Costello for an unexpected second encore and a trembling sea of baseball fans went wild. Among them leaning against the stage right in front was local resident Diane Huddleston, holding up a large sign. It read: I STOOD UP TO CANCER 4 TIMES! "I was proud to be here as a survivor," said Huddleston, wearing a cap and a smile that rivaled Crow's. Huddleston was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1982, then she was diagnosed with cancers in 1996, 2003 and 2008. She was smiling here and now because if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad. "I just think it's so great that Sheryl did this," she added. The music kept playing on this night at the All-Star Charity Concert presented by Pepsi, finishing with the bang of a fireworks show over the mighty Mississippi, right here on the banks where a rock star cut her teeth at a local bar a couple of decades back.
