| Hello Wally Ingram fans! We have lots of good news to report on the man, the myth, and the legend that is Wally Ingram.
Wally continues to tour with Sheryl Crow's band as the new percussionist. Sheryl Crow has a new album out, Detours, that hit the streets in February 2008. The bands summer tour dates are rolling in and the spring tour has kicked off! Tour dates include stops at Jazzfest, Beale Street Festival, Red Rocks and a trip to Europe including a show with Eric Clapton!
Wally recently returned from New Orleans after playing a benefit for Kirk Joseph, the sousaphone legend from New Orleans who recently suffered a heart attack. It was a GREAT night at Tipitina's & we all wish Kirk a speedy recovery. We are also helping spread the word on a few more good causes including Rockin' for Joshua Tree, Andrew Griffin and the Guacamole Fund. Check out the details below!
In addition, the "WALLY BEAT IT" commemorative Pro-Mark 5AL Drumsticks are finally in & Wally has finally obtained the remaining copies of the elusive Alektorophobia. Both of the new merch items are on sale now. It looks like a busy spring/summer for Wally! We hope to see you out there....Adam Ruback, Webmaster

Wally just returned from New Orleans after playing a benefit for Kirk Joseph, the sousaphone legend from New Orleans (Anders Osborne, Dirty Dozen Brass Band) who recently suffered a heart attack. Bands that contributed included the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band, Anders Osborne, Papa Mali, Big Sam, Eric Lindell, June Yamagishi, 101 Runners, Trombone Shorty, Jealous Monk, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux & more! This was truly a special night at Tiptina's and Wally was glad to be a part of it. We hope to see Kirk Joseph in good spirits & in full recovery by Jazzffest!

We hope you can join us for a weekend of music, art, raffles, and dancing under a nearly full moon at Pappy & Harriet's for the benefit to protect Joshua Tree National Park and Desert Communities from a Century of Los Angeles' garbage. Rockin' for Joshua Tree is a fund raising campaign of artists & activists merging to stop the proposed Eagle Mountain dump. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eric Burdon successfully launched the campaign with an Earth Day benefit concert in Palm Springs in 2000 to support the decades long battle to Stop the Eagle Mountain Dump.
In a nutshell, the proposed Eagle Mountain dump would accept 40,000,000 (that's 40 million!) pounds of garbage daily for 117 years, arriving by trucks and trains to be deposited on pristine lands surrounding the defunct Kaiser Steel iron ore mine at Eagle Mountain. These pristine lands, once protected, were given to the polluters by the Bureau of Land Management to build the world's largest garbage dump. Joshua Tree National Park wilderness will surround the dump on three sides like an amphitheater. The impacts from the dump to our Majestic Park and Desert Communities are enormous.
